After many emails, lots of tears, and TONS of stress, it has been determined that I'm NOT moving. Do you remember back a month or so when I said I was going to move? Well many things have changed between then and now and I'm actually very happy to stay where I am. I was not looking forward to the stress of having to pack up and move all my stuff to a new place just for a few months. Where I currently am is very close to the city pool which I'm SO excited to use this summer! There is also a park behind my complex for Heidi to play (I also found a beautiful view yesterday in the park...I will try to remember to take a picture of it the next time I go). I have also made many new friends in my complex and the areas nearby, so not moving is actually a good thing! :)
Heidi and I are doing well. The weather is really warming up and we've had some fun walks. I'm very much looking forward to my parents, Jake, and Dan coming to visit in less than one month!

It's a small world after all
I had quite an adventure yesterday! It all started on Saturday night at work. There was a girl from America sitting at the bar and we got to talking. She is living in Vienna right now for study abroad, but she came to visit Passau for a couple days. I guess her mom spent a summer here when she was younger. Catherine (that's her name if you didn't figure that one out) told me that she just came by herself to Passau and was just kind of exploring. She also told me that she checked in to the first hotel that she saw and that it was very expensive so she was going to find a new hotel the next day.
I offered to meet her for coffee on Sunday since she was alone in Passau, and THEN I remembered that I have an extra mattress! So I offered for her to stay at my place so that she wouldn't have to pay for a hotel.
We met up on Sunday and spent the whole day together. We walked all over Passau and I showed her a lot of stuff. After that we came back to my place, watched a couple movies, and then fell asleep.
I know it's not a HUGE adventure, but it was really fun to meet somebody new and I was very glad that I could help her out. She left to go back to Vienna this morning, but she left me her phone number and hopes that she can return the favor if I go to Vienna. I definitely plan on taking her up on that! :)
Sorry, no pictures to accompany.

FINALLY out of passau
After living in Passau for 6 months, I finally ventured out of the city! Heidi and I headed to Munich last Sunday to meet up with Leah, Josh, and Mr. Ocampo. It was SO great to see familiar faces (though I wish it could've been for a longer time!)
We at at Hofbraeuhaus!! (Das Original!)
The Oom-pah band has beer holders on their stands. America needs to take a hint
Josh is about to enjoy his delicious beer
Leah and I had Radlers. Yummy!!!
Our waiter was a bit scatter-brained but he did offer to take our picture!
This poor girl. She said she has to pose for pictures all the time.
...at least we bought a gigantic pretzel though!
Pooped after a long day of traveling!
Her new favorite toy: an old sock

Munich was a great time. I can't wait to see everybody again in August!
Can't wait for Mom, Dad, and Jake to get here in August. Dan will be here in May!!!!!! Lots of visitors to look forward to! :)
In other news:
I got a St. Patrick's Day package from Pam and Chuck. :)
I FINALLY finished my term paper for my Native American class. 4500 words later I can really enjoy my break. Only 1 1/2 months left. Time is really flying. Pretty soon I'll be on a plane back to America

Heidi
My puppy has name: HEIDI
I found it very appropriate since she was born in Bavaria. She is such a sweetheart. Incredibly well-bahaved! She is learning fast too. We are working on walking on a leash, house-breaking, and learning her name!
Today I went for a 1/2 hour jog and left her alone (so she can learn to stay home alone) and when I left she didn't whine at all and to my surprise when I came back she hadn't had an accident! My baby is growing up so fast! :)
Feeling right at home in her new crate

I brought home my 9-week-old puppy today! She doesn't have a name yet, but hopefully I will find one soon.
So far, she is adjusting well to life here! :) More to come
